Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. Purpose & Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy defines prohibited behaviors when interacting with NineAuth runtime APIs, licensing endpoints, management dashboards, and client SDKs.

2. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use NineAuth infrastructure to:

  • License, distribute, or facilitate malware, ransomware, botnets, or keyloggers.
  • Perform denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against NineAuth or third parties.
  • Attempt to forge cryptographic HMAC signatures or bypass hardware ID quota controls through automated exploits.
  • Abuse API rate limiters with deliberately malformed or malicious payload floods.

3. Enforcement & Termination

Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension of API access, termination of organization accounts without refund, and potential notification to relevant law enforcement authorities.
